Show Me the Scotsman

Wheee! It's just now hitting me that the semester is almost over. As in, tomorrow over. As in, next week is Finals. As in, long lines for little cash back for books. As in, get me the gas money so I can get the flip outta here!
Last night was the Utah-Utah State basketball game, which was considerably more exciting than the football version earlier this year. It came down to a pair of Aggie three-pointers in the last few seconds and a couple of intercepted inbound passes. The only thing that could have made it better would have been if we were playing BYU and I could have really gotten into ribbing the other team. I've never sang "The Scotsman" so many times during one game (let alone ever having to sing it a'capella, since the band can't play after the referees blow the inbound whistle).
In other fantastic news, I don't have to take my US History final next week. This would be the one that is scheduled for the ungodly hour of 7:30 am on Tuesday morning. But, my professor is making it optional for those of us who have an A- or better going into the final, which makes for an ecstatic Wildcat (seeing as how I'm the wonderful little scholar/school geek that I am). This makes one less thing I have to concern myself with and more time that I can freak out over my other US History final and my second Teaching Literature final project (I ask you, how many final projects do you need to do for one class?)
One update does put a little damper on the party, though it probably isn't too bad once I think that I won't have to come back from Christmas break early. My boss called the other day to tell me that I don't need to work Saturdays anymore, which leaves me with absolutely no job and no income (as opposed to peanuts for an income), but then again, I can stay home and party hardy with the family (inasmuch as we "party hardy." It might amount to lounging on the couch and eating Schwan's ice cream, which I'm not opposed to, even in December).
Remember those projects I was complaining about a paragraph ago? They're calling my name, so I guess I'd better wrap this up and proceed to reality.
Love from,
Jenny Wildcat

Date: 2006-12-07 11:09 pm (UTC)Argh! Do not sell back your books to the bookstore! It's stupid, seriously. And yes, you have finally acheived the "stupid status" where I can comfortably call you "stupid" and not feel bad about it afterwards. Trust me, it's a complement ^_^. You can get so much money back if you sell it online. It really isn't that much trouble. I'll show you and Jenn how to do it.
Oh, and please say your leaving after Thursday night. Please! I want to watch Goblet of Fire again.
