jenny_wildcatFor the past week, I've been using someone else's really shoddy internet connection until I could get professionally installed wireless in the place where I'm living now. And it is soooo stinking worth it.
These are my priorities.
So.... I've been working all day (more or less) on this project and the fact that I am thisclose to having it done fills me full of squee. May I present -
My Fivey Coat of Awesome!
This is a major piece of my Femme!Five costume that I'm doing - more for fun than anything. However, if I get to go to the Gallifrey convention either next year or the year after, it will definitely make an appearance. For now, it's just something fun I'm putting together. I have a hat to go with it and my next project will be a skirt out of some really nice looking stripey fabric I found at a local store.
Really, all I've done is put the red trim on it (and I still have one little section on the lapel and I have to do some on the back and on the cuffs). I bought the coat online and the celery came from here. For the red trim, I've had to do half-machine, half-by-hand job and my fingers are stinking sore from pushing that needle through the thick coat material.
But - yay - I have a Fivey coat! (I even hugged it at one point - fangirl here!)
