Welcome to My World
Sep. 3rd, 2005 01:01 pmYeah, so I've been told that I need to write more (mostly been told by
myself, how pathetic is that?), so here I begin my LiveJournal.
Who knows how often I'll actually use the thing, but it's here.
It's probably a lot better than the Yahoo360 deal I have. I guess
we'll see.
I've been at USU for a week and so far it's been pretty good. The funny thing is that the first weekend of the school year is Labor Day, so most of everyone is gone. I do have two roommates still here, but the roommate that I share a bedroom with has gone home, so I have the room to myself (Woot!) I should be catching up on the reading that I should have been doing all week, but in my mind, summer hasn't officially ended. I don't think I really get into the swing of things until that first midterm leaves me frazzled and ready to stick my head in the oven, which I never do, no matter how many times I entertain the idea.
I did just get back from doing laundry and was bombarded with about twenty neon colored fliers announcing that a local research group is hiring. All I have to do is call people when they are about to sit down to dinner after a long day of work and sound as pleasant as I really do not want to feel while I'm on the phone. It's not the sort of thing that I would like to do, though I am getting desperate. Job searching is not going well at all. I'm not in too bad of shape money-wise yet, but I am going to need something before too long. Either that or go off meals. This research group is offering tuition reimbursement, but I don't know if that would work for me, since I'm in on a scholarship (Heaven praise the academic scholarship!!)
I just spell checked my entry and a bunch of weird Internet babble just appeared in the text (such as "nbsp" after each sentence). Maybe I should end this, since I am now reduced to talking about spell checking and all that fun stuff.
Love from,
Jenny Wildcat
