Ooh-de-Lolly, Golly What a Day!
May. 17th, 2007 08:47 amI'm a whole year older today!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, today is my happy birthday. How old am I? Yeah, like I'd post that online for the whole wide world to see ^_^
Even Toon Disney seems to be celebrating today. Usually they just play the stupid Disney crap animated sequels (you know, Jungle Book 2, Lilo and Stitch 2, Cinderella 2 *involuntary convulsions*), but today, "Robin Hood" is on! The old Walt Disney version with Robin Hood as a fox and Little John as a bear and the rooster minstrel. I haven't seen this movie in years and here it is, on my birthday, on TV. It makes me happy ^_^
Yesterday was wild, but just because I had to go driving in the city for my interview and I'm not very good at it. Left hand turns are just not my best friends. I would rather turn left at an stoplight instead of hopping over three lanes of traffic, thereby pissing off all the road-rage types lined up behind me. Then I try to drive in downtown Salt Lake and... oy... Too many pedestrians and construction and ways to miss your turn. And then when you do miss your turn, you've got to go around the block about five times to find an opening. (And I want to move there? Just who has the problems here?)
The interview itself went well and now I'm just waiting to hear back from them. They said maybe they'd let me know next week. I think I honestly have a good chance at this job. It's editing, which I have scores of experience in, and it's for an online university, which I took some teaching classes, so I know a little bit about rubrics and things like that. I guess I'll find out how this goes.
In the meantime, I get to spend a quiet birthday at home, no stress, nowhere to be (until I take my little sisters to piano lessons) and wait for Mom and Dad to get back from town. I think we're doing cake and ice cream this weekend or something (it's my dad's birthday today too). I don't know what the rest of the plans are, but I like not being in charge.
That's the best part about being home ^_^
Love from,
Jenny Wildcat
