I haven't posted in a week?!!  I'm terrible...

Went home over the weekend.  While it was nice to not have to do anything, the five hour drive kicked me in the butt.  Any relaxing I did at home was immediately canceled out by the stress of having to drive home Easter Sunday evening with all the weekend warriors antsy to get home for... work on Monday.  Weird people.

I'm also taking on double dragons this week.  My story for my Senior Capstone class is being workshopped today and it is looooooong.  This is the second time this story has been workshopped.  The first draft was 8 pages long.  After getting feedback from my class to add scenes and taking on some serious revision, it is now... 16 pages!  In my defense, I gave them fair warning.  Give me a chance to add anything to a story and I will talk your ear off.  I'm happy with some parts of it, but not so much with others.  Oh well, we'll see what happens tonight.

The other dragon is that I have a completely different story due in my Fiction Writing class tomorrow.  I've just been working on the ending of it right now.  This one won't actually be workshopped tomorrow, but I have to give it out tomorrow so people have a chance to read it for the workshop next week.  I'm not as concerned about this story as I was about my first one for this class.  I'm actually looking forward to this one being workshopped next week, mostly because it has a political jab as a minor plot point -- that was the most fun to write, actually.  It'll never get published in any literary magazine because it pokes fun at the HIGH AND MIGHTY Algore and his doctrine of global warming -- all I'm saying is that we'd better be careful or aliens are going to take our fetish for creating problems where there are none and kill us all because of it.

Anyway, "24" is tonight!  Woot and stuff.  Jack will pull that bullet out with his teeth, just you watch (and Doyle's still a butthole).

Yet another "24" post -- but this was the best episode EVER!!!  As always, Spoilers Abound!

Last Weeks' Preview: Well, I guess that they had to get us excited somehow.  Though, it was kinda funny watching Jack pop up off the ground like " 'kay guys, they fell for it.  Let go kick ass!"
Then, the President's bluff missile attack on the Middle East just had me going *sporfle* (hence, the moniker of this episode).  If the President can keep Tom in the dark on the bluff, then Tom has permission to not tell the President how he got the Vice President to back off.  Peace returns to the home as it did in Egypt.

President Palmer: I'm glad that he wasn't as Nazi-ish as we were initially led to believe, though I still maintain that he is a dead man walking.  "24" is not kind to presidents.  It's good that we know this upfront so we're prepared for it (Season 2 George Mason, anyone?)

The Reappearance of Morris: Okay, so it was only for a few minutes, but "It's none of my business, but is there a bit of a problem?" had me in stitches.  Don't ask me why, it just did.
Now we just need Chloe to do more than hook up the AV line.

First Rule of Terrorism - Don't Have a Family: You might have missed the ambassador's country threatening that General Habib guy with killing his family if he didn't call Fayed (which, funnily enough, this guy has no ties to the guy the Mummy played in Season 4).  We learned this lesson in Season 2 and now we're learning it in Season 6 (well, those Middle Eastern countries take a little time to get caught up with America).

Milo's Drama Queen Moments: This is my only complaint about this episode.  Face it Milo, you're only important in the seasons after CTU gets deathly gutted.  Stop trying to recreate the Tony/Michelle relationship.  They pwn you.  Get over it.

At Least Nadia Was Useful: Way to connect the dots that led Jack to taking out all the terrorists single-handedly!  Anything that leads to Jack butchering all the bad guys so he can stop skulking around to get visual confirmation of the suitcase nukes.

I Trust in Jack Bauer's Sadistic Tendencies: Somebody had a icon with that, but I don't have it T_T.  Hanging Fayed with the chain?  Jack is getting progressively more creative with the ways in which he kills the bad guys.  Not that that's a bad thing (though I was kinda hoping he'd take the wrench to his head, but whatever works).

Next Week's Preview - Jack to President Palmer: "You Owe Me":  Does he ever.

Which brings us to one word from one certain lady that had me running around the house imitating a Chinese firedrill (no pun intended):

"Jack": AUDREY'S TEH ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!1!!!!1!!!11!eleventy-one!!!1!!!!
And that's not even the best part!  The best part is that I sorta, kinda called that!
Quotage from my April 2 entry: "I want Jack to... find Audrey - who's been hiding out in China after very effectively faking her own death after the Chinese found out that she knew where Jack was - and ride off into the sunset.  Not that that's gonna happen either."
I WILL NEVER DOUBT MY POWERS OF PREDICTION AGAIN!!!!!!  WHEEEEE!!!!  MY "24" OTP LIIIIIIVES!!!!  HA HA!!

'kay, i'm stopping with the capslock now. but not the exclamations!!!!!!!
