It Does My Heart Good

I was just flipping channels this evening and their BIG STORY was that Real Suck -- I mean Salt -- Lake were in a deal to that could get them their stadium, thereby allowing the evil communist plot of soccer to permeate the Wasatch Front with suburban yuppies, girls with facial hair and illegal immigrants. KSL took this story over the story of the conjoined twins who are getting separated and terrorist plots -- yup, liberalism is alive and well in our capital city.
Anyway, I changed the channel and channel 2 had the NFL preseason on and my belief in heaven was reaffirmed. It's just a preseason game with the Falcons and the pukey Patriots, but this is true football... heads knocking, bodies flying and actual SCORING with no 0-0 ties. There is an actual point to playing football, unlike soccer, where a bunch of anorexic girly-men with chin scruff run after a black and white coconut in knee high socks (I just felt my own testosterone levels rise).
Ooh, Atlanta just scored and Peyton Manning is back in the commercial business. I love Peyton Manning. I want the Colts to go to the Super Bowl, but then again, I want the Rams to do well. Maybe Alex Smith can pull the 49ers out of a rut too. The Redskins are pretty cool too. The Lions... well, we can dream, can't we? Just let the Patriots and Cowboys lose. And lose big.
