"I've got eight little fingers and only two thumbs"

I have gotten nothing done today.  I was going to go to the IWA overnight retreat, but who knows now.  I did stay up on campus to try to get caught up in my American Writers class, but since that means reading nothing but Edgar Allan Poe for three hours, I had to come back for something that's more suitable for a sunny day.  I'm still not entirely cheered up, even though I listened to some freakingly awesome music off of some of my AMVs (Anime Music Videos, for those who don't know).  I still have my Family Finance quiz to take, which shouldn't be such a big motivational problem, but it is.  Plus, people keep calling and wanting to go play (you'd think it was the weekend or something...sheesh).  I think I need a sign that says: "Workaholic college student.  Do not invite to parties, lunch, shopping, movies, weekend trips because I will say yes and will regret it at 1:00 in the morning when I am working on homework to the tune of my roommate coughing and sputtering bronchitis bacteria into the air."  Someday I'll actually have all this done and taken care of and life will be wonderful.  Then the phone will ring again and some twit will need me for something that they are more than capable of handling themselves.

Can't a Wildcat catch a break anywhere around this place?
