Wall of Shame: Too Hot for TV

Okay, so there's a new controversy about water rights in Snake Valley and Las Vegas. I have also found the message boards for said story and apparently most of the posters are't any more intelligent than the miscreants who frequent MuggleNet. Gee, this is fun:

It really isn't a big deal to have a draft agreement in place for something like this. The question for Utah will be whether they see the cost of extracting the water as worth the resource. For Las Vegas, it apparently is worth the cost. Would Utah use that water given the costs of extraction? The land near the Snake range isn't real prime real estate. I think Utah officials are most likely acting responsibly in this matter and the leak of a draft agreement is no big deal.
Prime Real Estate? Well, excuuuuse me, Mr. I-live-in-Daybreak-and-I-have-my-green-lawn-back-after-the-six-year-drought-and-my-Honda-Civic-all-nice-and-clean-in-the-garage. I didn't realize that us providing your $12 Sizzler steaks made you all of a sudden so hoity-toity. Cry me a river (no, seriously, do).

FYI: Vegas Recycles water: Actually all of the water for the Bellagio water show and all fountains on the strip and all of the other water hotels use is recycled the strip has it's own water treatment facility to concerve water The water isn't really expensive and the Las Vegas Valley Water District pays very generously to people who replace lawn with xeroscape landscaping.
Does that mean I don't have to flush the next time I'm in Vegas?

I'll bet my last jug of water that the LDS Church is secretly involved in pushing this deal. After all, there are a great many Mormons living in the Las Vegas area, with the potential for tens of thousands more given sufficient water....same for the St. George area. The Church absolutely craves political influence on national issues, as well as local ones, and needs a political base for that purpose. Therefore, the Church has an interest in doing what it can to promote development in the Las Vegas and St. George areas, and will be sure to do so. The same reasoning applies to Bear River water development to support larger communities, inevitably consisting mostly of Mormons, along the Wasatch Front.
Which is the same LDS Church who supported the Danite band and still practices polygamy, I'm sure.

Why not give them our water...we already give a ton of money to their state because we do not allow gambling here..
"Your honor, the State of Nevada hereby punishes the Snake Valley for the crime of never stopping in Wendover on the way to basketball games by...taking all their water!!! MWHAHAHAHA!" By the way, try the Rainbow buffet the next time you roll through.

“State officials” conveniently forgot to finish their little rhyme –
“Slow the Flow in Utah-O, so our water can go to Nevada-O”.
That program just lost any and all credibility it ever had. “State Officials” also forget to tell us that the ad campaign was probably financed by the Nevada State Water Commission or whatever they call themselves.
Where's Robert Lund when you need him?
And another string of banter that's just too precious not to comment on:
Sen. Reid the water snake Hmmm, our little Mormon Senator from Nevada holding Utah water hostage eh?
Well, I'm glad somebody figured it out.
Bla Bla Bla... Sheesh...
Do you think people in other states run around saying things like: "that darn catholic senator", or "our little muslim mayor" "darn Seventh Day Adventist Dentist"?
They do in Missouri.
Hear! Hear!
He's not a "real" Mormon, because he's a Democrat!
Hee hee, Deana, you're the greatest! (Volleyball coach from high school. We go way back ^_^)
I have just set the record for shortest membership on the KSL message boards, EV-AR! Not that I really care, I mean, KSL likes to scare people anyway. Besides, what else am I going to do on a Thursday night?
Toodles!

Governor OK
As a Snake Valley resident, I trust Gov. Huntsman to be a man of integrity who will honor his pledge to protect our water rights and the environment here. The UT-NV agreement process, however, must be as open and transparent as possible. Mike Styler has promised local stakeholders direct input into the process. And Harry Reid is a real force in this apparent rush to reach an agreement. Finally, we must wait for the best science possible to determine if there is excess water in Snake Valley, where many springs have dried because of drought let alone massive pumping. Bla Bla Bla... Sheesh...
They do in Missouri.
Hear! Hear!
and heard what the Brethren said during the last election. Hopefully you were being sarcastic, but I'd bet not!
Someone needs to let Kirk in on that little secret.
Someone needs to let Kirk in on that little secret.
Most people don't know he's a Mormon church convert. Too liberal for Utah tastes (except SLC). You'll be in trouble for leaking this, and Rocky won't be your friend.
*Sporfle* I hope Rocky doesn't read this. You might have all the unwashed hippies from Liberty Park and the conference "sidewalk ministers" picketing at your doorstep.
kinda looks like someone is putting together a little 'Reid' basket in preperation for selling something down the river!*Sporfle* I hope Rocky doesn't read this. You might have all the unwashed hippies from Liberty Park and the conference "sidewalk ministers" picketing at your doorstep.

Never mind that ol' Harry's son own part of that land they want to develop and their lawyers got involved and...look just go shove your Land Rover up your ass.
