It's Bigger On the Inside

'kay, I said it. Happy?
This time, it's "The Vampires of Venice." I will attempt to refrain from any "Twilight" jokes, but no promises.
Well, I tried.
This one wasn't too bad. I've seen some people say they didn't like it, but I didn't mind it so much. I'm not about to put it on my "Top 20 Doctor Who Episodes" list (yes, such a list exists - still in the refining process), but it was okay.
Okay, I will admit - Rory has moved up from "Total Dork" to "Kind of Adorable in a Boy Scout Sort of Way." Not unlike Owen. He must really like Amy - how many guys would go up against a vampire-space-fish armed with just a broom? (and actually hold his own - that broom lasted longer than I thought it would).
Another word on Rory - after Amy's attempted seduction of the Doctor at the end of the last episode.... I'm kinda glad they decided to bring Rory along to keep her company (or whatever). Keep those rabid shippers at bay, I suppose.
Favorite Line of the Episode - "Fish from space have never been so... buxom." The Doctor had some good ones here, but this one wins the trophy.
Next Favorite Line of the Episode - "You can't repopulate somewhere with just women. You need... blokes..." Yes, thank you Rory for that moment of clarity and explanation. Doubly funny for the Doctor's reaction to the thought of Mummy Space Fish creating girlfriends for her boys.
Speaking of Mummy Space Fish - for one crazy second, I thought she was Sigourney Weaver. But then I realized - Sigourney isn't British. Still, I had to figure out who she was because I know I've seen her - then it clicked (after a quick visit to imdb.com) - Helen McCrory was Narcissa Malfoy in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." (There are a lot of people who've been in Harry Potter who've also been in Doctor Who, I've noticed - just must be the big things for British actors to be involved in. Just an observation).
And we end with silence. No crack, though. Just silence (by the way, what is it with planets in the Who-verse just suddenly going missing? Wouldn't you think they'd keep better track of something so important?)
My little sister's going to this high school teen swim thing tonight and Mom's bored, so she and I are going to go see "Toy Story 3." I'm excited - after last night's Twilight lulz, I could do with a quality movie outing (BTW: my other sister said that Bella bugs her too, so I'm glad at least one of my teenage sisters has a bit of sense. The other one was just mad that Bella didn't pick Jacob. Oh. Brother.)
