I found this a while back and I've been meaning to post it here.  Can I say that I thought about this the first time I read "Twilight?"  I mean - seriously - woulda spared us the pointless love triangle and the squeamishness in "Breaking Dawn."

(of course Alice is the reasonable one - because, well, she's Alice.  And awesome.  But mostly awesome).

Heh, that was funny. Loved the flying dentures. :-)

I'm curious about one thing, though: Why do so many people like Alice so much? Even a lot of "Twilight" haters and/or mockers like her. No offense, but I don't get it. She treats other people like her Barbie dolls. When Bella was lying in agony for hours and hours, Alice was *dressing her in a cocktail dress and stilettos*. And not only that, but she was dressing her like that FOR A HUNT. I'm telling you, the girl ain't right!!

There is just something really likable about Alice. This is jsut my thought, but it seems like she's doesn't take herself as seriously as the other vampires, but at the same time she's also very matter-of-fact (a point the video made very well, in my opinion). When you're in a story with all that angst and... whatever... it was nice to have Alice come around once in a while and basically tell everyone to grow up and that things would work out.

But I do agree that Alice dressing Bella in a cocktail dress and stilettos for the hunt was way off. But the same could be said for the whole of "Breaking Dawn," so in a way, it's not Alice's fault so much as it was the author's (BD was just completely unnecessary to the series. I often wonder if Stephenie Meyer didn't want to dabble in a bit of "official" fanfic or something).

Look at my bazillion ab muscles. I love it! That is just too funny.

And I am definitely a fan of Alice even though I can't stand the series. She actually has a positive personality which is sorely lacking in the series. Jacob has that too when he's not so anti-vampire.

Alice's positive attitude must come from her ability to see the future - knowing that things turn out good has to have some kind of effect on your outlook on life (which might be why she disappears for the last major chunk of "Breaking Dawn.")
