Who am I kidding?  The Devil is a registered voter in Las Vegas.  Plenty to talk about but first, CSI tonight. Rehash and spoilers ahead.

Thus, marking the traditional "Religious People Are Crazy and They All Pay to Have Their Non-Believing Family and Friends Knocked-off" episode.  As a devoutly religious person myself, I rarely find anything to chuckle about in these sorts of things, but I'll do my best.

The premise for the devoutly religious parents thinking their daughter has a devil is a pretty big stretch.  Now, I'd be pretty pissed if I found my daughter exchanging smutty e-mails with some stranger, but not pissed enough to lock her up in the attic and ask the minister to tie her to the bed and "exorcise" her by beating her with a Bible (the Word of God is pretty powerful, but not in that way).  At this point, I'm starting to think the atheists they hire to write these kinds of episodes are running out of ideas.

Having said that, the one person who seems to have any religious beliefs comes to my rescue.  Catherine Willows wins +One Million points for being the caring motherly type, even to the seemingly-innocent-yet-turns- out-to-be-the-killer girl.  And the end had me, once again, bemoaning the fact that Grissom was hooked up with Sara and not Catherine.

Luckily, we keep Captain Brass around to bribe the chibis with five bucks and a super-sized cheeseburger.

I know there's a part of the fandom that ship Nick and Warrick, but I don't think that's what's going on.  It's during these serious times that the fangirls need comfort.  And that comfort comes best as - Nick and Warrick in the same screen working the same scene.  Between Nick taking charge and pounding the walls and the almost-shirtless Warrick?  Yes, please!

Yay there's a new CSI - Ronnie Lay is Sara's new idealist protege. She kinda reminds me of Sara at that age. Hopefully she won't start dating her mentor... Argggggh! Now they've got me doing this slash thing!

Take the stepladder of DOOOOOOM! (first floor - Attic of Eternal Damnation. Thanks for visiting. Remember, we validate).

Hiding bee nests in the walls? Somebody's been watching Candyman too much... (Candyman being the horror movie that swore me off all horror movies at the tender age of eight - long story short: slumber party with older kids and dumb me not knowing what the heck was going on equals weeks of nightmares and a Wildcat's mommy being none-too-pleased with adult supervision).

(Ugh, both the Patriots and the Cowboys are undefeated and playing each other this Sunday. I don't know who I want to lose more.)

After watching six tapes of exorcisms, Archie needs to plan a night and just watch "Cars" or something.

"The world will end... someday." Always the optimist, Gil Grissom (but in the meantime, he collects bee colonies - only after it's been cleared with Animal Control).

Yay! Car chasings! Time for the "bad, homeless-guy-killing" cop to redeem himself and find the dead family's stolen car.

And the prostitute-looking chick turns out to be the missing once-devil-possessed daughter. Of course.

(President Wayne Palmer's come out of the coma to be a cop in Viva Laughlin! He must be hard-up for a paying gig, short lived, though it will be. What is it with all these former "24" cast members showing up on CBS shows? Dennis Haysbert's on The Unit, the Josh Bauer kid's on "CSI Miami" and now DB Woodside's on "Viva Laughlin." Just an observation).

Minister-dude has brilliant timing - chuck the possessed girl over the balcony at the feet of the CSI... Score one for the home team...

And what is with these bees?

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!! Grissom's gonna PROPOSE?!! To Sara? Why do I suddenly see Jerry Bruckheimer on the Fonz's water ski's in shark-infested waters?

In other news, I got a call back from the city. I applied for the the Executive Secretary and they want me back for a second interview!   Plus, I got quite the heart-warming phone call from my dad.  My family's coming out for the weekend and my sister, [profile] adjie1026 , said she wants to hang out with me (awwww... I'm touched).  I think we're going to go to the Laura Ingraham book signing at the Barnes and Noble on State Street.  I'm almost through with her new book "Power to the People," which has been fantastic so far.  I'm really excited to meet her, though I'm sure I won't be able to say anything remotely coherent when I do (I'm such a dork :])
