It's Officially Official!!
Dec. 8th, 2006 03:45 pmI turned in my graduation packet this morning and paid my graduation fee (I ended up not having to pay the late fee of $50, which I thought I would because everywhere had signs proclaiming TURN IN YOUR GRADUATION PACKETS BEFORE DEC. 5 TO AVOID THE LATE FEE AND EATING OF YOUR FIRSTBORN CHILDREN BWAH-HA-HA!!). So, my name will be on the graduation program come May and I will be sitting through a 3+ hour long commencement ceremony and speakers talk about how OMIGAWSH, Liek, We Made It and We're Gunna TAKE OVAH THE WOOOOORLD!! or whatever they're doing to celebrate graduation these days. Seriously, I joke about it, but this is a big deal. I feel... like I'm pretty darn smart and accomplished. Now I get to take my smart and accomplished self and... do something excitable and insane and adult-like
Now, certain people have been complaining that I insinuated that I would be selling my textbooks back to the bookstore in order to get gas money to go home this Christmas. This insinuation upset certain people because I would not be able to get the most money for my beat-up and otherwise worn out textbooks and that I ought to try pimping them out on Ebay in order to actually make a buck by the time I'm eligible for Medicare. Maybe I will and maybe I won't. I guess it's a good investment, but if textbooks were meant to be an investment, we wouldn't complain about getting gouged every semester. Plus, it's going to take years and years for someone to pick it up and I'd rather carry a deposit slip home than another boring book that I'm never going to read again (most likely). I think I'll opt out for mutual fund investments anyway, thankyouverymuch.
Now that I've sufficiently pissed a certain somebody off (it's all in good fun. You know I love you ^_^), I'm going to watch some more InuYasha episodes because I'm sick of reading about the Cold War for my US History take home final (this is not the final that was scheduled for 7:30 am, this is the one that's not a test, but a paper, for those of you keeping track).
Love from,
Jenny Wildcat
