Walking on Thin Ice
Jun. 11th, 2006 08:32 pmI wish that I was referring to the temperature in this room (ha! if only...)
We just now found out that we have a new roommate who is now ready to move into the private room that Shaunee has been occupying, simply because now one had bought the contract (to this point). The girl, Angie, is here with her stuff and we were supposed to know about this ahead of time (Old Farm's a great place to live, if you can get past the idiotic management).
Which means this: Shaunee is now sharing a room with me. She's moving in as I type (I have offered my help, which she has declined), but it is painfully obvious that she is not happy with the arrangement. To be fair, I'm not either. I was getting quite used to having extra closet space, an extra bed and not having to fight anyone for a bathroom. The compounded problem (from where I'm sitting) is that I reeeeeeeally don't think Shaunee likes me much, which is going to make the summer go by extremely slowly. I know that I only have about two months (give or take) with her before she, Chris and Mary move back over to the old side, but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with.
Oh well, I can watch my step, can't I? I'll just have to retreat into my corner, which has become even more corner-ish in the past hour.
Love from,
Jenny Wildcat
