shellic and I saw "Enchanted" today - my first time, her second. As such, I am obligated to share my thoughts and impressions.

First, the non-spoilery version: EVERYONE MUST SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!! Seriously, every weekend from here until it comes out on DVD (and then you can hit the dollar theaters) at least make the matinee. This is the kind of movie that Disney hasn't made in years, but they're finally going back to what made the Disney studios so great in the first place. It's none of this teeny-bopper, sickly-sugar-coated crap. Enchanted is an extremely well-written, well-acted, and yes, even well-special-effected (how do you make something like that a verb?) story. Money well-spent.

...when I get back to the big city is go see Enchanted. So many people are gushing it's praises (even Jeff Vice of the Deseret Morning News liked it and he never likes anything fantasy or Disney) and I wanted to see it anyway. It looks really great (the first time I saw the trailer, I got all excited because I thought Disney was going back to 2D animation, which they sorely need to do some more of that. The novelty of 3D animation has more than worn off).

But for now, my brother's taking me out duck hunting. I really want to get a drake mallard mount because they are so cool looking. I probably won't get anything, but it'll be fun anyway ^_^

ETA: Yeah, I didn't get anything. I didn't even get a shot off (if I had gotten a shot off, we'd be mounting my brother instead. Not recommended). My brother got a cute little green head mallard, though.
